On May 11 the Permian Basin Chess Club will be helping to host an open chess tournament at the Waystone. See sign up, regulations and details below:

•Entry Fee: $10.00

•Sections: 1

•Entrants must be 21 years old or older.

•5 Rounds, plus 1 hour lunch break

•Time control = G/25;d5), 25 minutes with a 5 second delaytotal time about 6 hrs, including the lunch break.

•NOTE: This is NOT a USCF sanctioned tournament. Game recording is NOT required, but USCF basic chess rules apply (touch move, same hand move – hit clock, etc.)

•We have 20 seats available, you must pre-register by noon Friday May 10, 2024 to hold your seat, email below.

•Sign-In / Pay-up: 10:00 am

•Start Time: 10:00 am, following rounds - ASAP (including lunch break)

•Prizes: Cash: Total Cash payout 100% of Gross Receipts

•1st Place 50% of prize fund and a custom engraved stein and beer/wine tokens.

•2nd Place 30% of prize fund and a beer token

•3rd Place 20% of Prize fund and a beer token

•Cash Prizes will be rounded to the nearest dollar
