August 8th – David Arrington – Shale, Shale, Shale
The shale boom refers to the targeting of source rocks, like the Wolfcamp shale and others, using horizontal wellbores and hydraulic fracturing to extract hydrocarbons in low permeability formations. This shift from conventional techniques targeting permeable reservoir rock has revolutionized the oil and gas industry. David Arrington, president of Arrington Oil & Gas, LLC, will discuss his experiences with drilling and fracturing in shale formations here in the Permian Basin. Bring a lunch and listen to what David has to say about the past, present, and future of shale production
