Summer Camps in Midland

Summertime is upon us in the Tall City. School is out, the pool is open, and the fun is just getting started. Midland is well stocked in options for the kiddos this summer with sports camps, arts camps, and even a few technology-related camps to get their hands on.

Get signed up early as these spots can go fast. We also want to note that it is possible some of these camps are already full!

Kids Summer Camps in Midland, Texas

The Little Gym Summer Camps 

The Little Gym of Midland not only offers classes for the kiddos to get involved in but also for the parents and caregivers too. Whether you’re joining just for a class or for the entire summer, there are plenty of class options for all ages. This summer, starting in June, TLG will have day camps that are full of movement, games, and crafts that will keep your child on the go all summer long. 

Cost:  $35-$40 per day, multi-day passes available at discounted rate

Times: Monday-Friday, Starting June 1st-July 30th

Registration: Open enrollment starting now, registration is required.

Ages:  Pre K - 12 years old

 

Kids’ College at Midland College

Kids’ College at Midland College has been a long-time tradition for the city’s youth that offers a sneak peek at college right at MC. This Midland summer camp offers several courses that are equally as fun as they are educational. If you’re looking for other opportunities outside of the Midland College campus, Kids’ College continues outside the classroom with classes at COM Aquatics and Midland Community Theatre. Spots fill up fast so get signed up. 

Cost: Classes will range from $50 to $120 per class.

Times: Weekly in June, Monday-Thursdays, 1PM-4:45PM

Registration: Registration is required and can be completed online where the courses can be chosen as well. 

Ages: Children who have completed 1st grade to 6th grade

 
 

COM Aquatic Camp

Apart from learning how to swim, dive, or even tumble at the COM, there are plenty of summer class options for incorporating all of these things with a fun spin on it- who wouldn’t want to be a mermaid? Sign us up!

There are options as well for all Kids’ College attendees to get in on these classes too from their other courses at Kids College.

Cost: $140 per Monday-Thursday session

Times: 8:30AM-12PM, Monday through Thursday: Every week in June, Week of July 8, Week of July 15, Week of July 29, Week of August 5

Summer Tennis Camp at Bush Tennis Center

Fun in the sun all day long. Bush Tennis Center is offering plenty of options for those who are just starting out on their tennis journeys or are well seasoned in the sport. Your child will be doing way more than tennis drills and skills learning, but other fun opportunities are available throughout the day making for a day full of fun. 

Cost:

Half-Day Sessions: $220 (Members); $245 (Non-Members)

Full-Day Sessions: $400 (Members); $440 (Non-Members)

Summer Camp at Midland YMCA

When attending Summer Camp at Midland YMCA, there is tons to look forward to from day trips across West Texas to theme weeks every week through the summer. Children as young as 4 years old can participate in Summer Camp at the Midland YMCA. Spots are opening up now, so be sure to snag one for each of your children. 

Cost: Other fees can apply for optional excursions taking place throughout the summer.

Registration fee of $30

YMCA Family Member: $515 per month

Program Participants: $687 per month

Summer Camps at The Petroleum Museum

Apart from the history of the Permian Basin and the oil industry featured at the Petroleum Museum, there will be tons to do all summer long. From building, learning, or just relaxing on Movie Maker Mondays, these camps serve as great opportunities for your child to have a well-rounded and educational summer while also having a ton of fun. Camp opportunities are open to both members and non-members of the Petroleum Museum.

Cost: $40 for museum members and $50 for non-members

Summer Soccer Camp with Midland Soccer Association

This local option for your little kicker to open for the youngest of soccer stars to the well seasoned players to enjoy in June and July this summer. Brush up on the basic skills while learning new things at every session. There are options for half day sessions and full day sessions throughout the summer. Be sure to check these options out as you are choosing your camp selections.

The Studio by Kidd Summer Camps

There’s always something to do throughout the year at The Studio, but the real treat of the year are the summer camps. Every week starting in late May all the way to end of August is a camp geared towards ages 3-14 years old.

Every session will be filled with creative opportunities and of course, lots of fun for everyone involved. Also another perk, lunch is served as a package addition to take the stress out of lunch packing in the mornings! 

Sessions are split into a Pre-K group and kids ages 5-14.

Coding Camps by Code Ninjas Midland

Code Ninjas in Midland is hosting a wide range of camps that don’t just stop at coding. For the technologically advanced child, any of these camps will be the perfect solution to curing the decade-old sickness of summertime boredom. Ranchlands Hills Summer Junior Golf Clinic

Golfing at Ranchland Hills isn’t only for the adults. This junior golf clinic is open to youth to get down to the basics of the game and techniques for playing. Signs-ups are open now and can be completed now by calling the Ranchland Hills Pro Shop or visiting in person.

West Texas FC Summer Camps 2024

West Texas FC and the City of Midland, Texas - City Government have teamed up to offer free soccer summer camps in Midland. This new offering, West Texas FC Summer Camps 2024 will be held in May through July and take place on the Auxiliary Fields in Midland, Texas. (5514 Champions Drive)

Midland Rockhounds Summer Camp

Summer Workshops at Musuem of the Southwest

Of all the things your kids could do this summer, learning to fly might top all the choices. Midland Yoga Works is bringing your kids an aerial yoga camp where they will learn the ins, outs, and upside downs of this yoga type.

We Rock the Spectrum  kids summer camp 2024

We Rock the Spectrum Kids’ Gym Summer Camp

No matter your kiddo’s abilities, this awesome summer camp at We Rock the Spectrum is aimed at providing skill building like arts and crafts, fine motor skills, social skills, and gross motor skills. Led by a certified special education director, there are two sessions, one in June and one in July.

Bush Family Home State Historic Site Summer Camp

Bush Family Home State Historic Site Summer Camp

Bush Family Home is offering a three day summer camp in June that will dive into games and activities focused on presidential facts, history, and the 1950s. On day one, they'll experience an election simulation. Day two features 1950s-themed contests, STEM workshops, and design sessions. The camp concludes with participants stepping into the role of president, learning about leadership. Join in for a blend of learning and fun in a historic setting.

Venture Robotics

At Venture Robotics in Midland, children will participate in a summer camp focused on robotics. They will engage in building and navigating robots through diverse challenges. With a limited capacity of 15 kids per session, the camp ensures a conducive learning atmosphere. Scheduled breaks will allow campers to relax and recharge. Additionally, each participant will receive a camp t-shirt and snacks. If you want your child to foster a love of STEM skills in a supportive environment, this is a great option.
