The annual opening of Fiddlesticks Farms in Midland is perfect for a family outing. With autumn-filled activities like a huge seven-acre corn maze, a petting zoo, campfires at night, a pumpkin patch, a giant slide, and a candy blaster (yes, you read that right!), you might not be able to fit everything in one day. 

Mandujano Brothers Produce Pumpkin Patch

In addition to their immense pumpkin patch with thousands of options for you to choose from, the Mandujano Brothers Pumpkin Patch has a hay pit, a corn maze, jumping pad, and a farmer’s market. Take a hay ride to and from the pumpkin patch for an even more authentic fall festival vibe. 

Parks Legado Farmer’s Market Pumpkin Patch

Only one weekend in October, the Parks Legado Farmer’s Market hosts a Fall Market complete with a pumpkin patch. With over 100 other vendors present, this is your last chance to shop at this market until they open their Christmas Tree market.

Every weekend in October you can visit the Anderson Farm Market, located in the parking lot adjacent to Mr. Gattis, to pick your Halloween pumpkins. They also have a hay bale couch where you can catch a great picture with your friends or family and the sale of other fresh vegetables and fruit.

Benefiting the West Texas Food Bank and Bridge Kids Ministries, the Bridge Pumpkin Patch is a great place to go with your kiddos to choose their Halloween pumpkins. Located in Odessa, it’s a short drive from Midland and a fantastic option.

Located toward Lubbock, this locally owned farm and retail store, Top of Texas Farms and Idalou Harvest Co., stock pumpkins and apples from their farm. They have tons of delicious options like honey, apple butter, and local wine to browse as well. 

Midland Y Halloween Carnival

Fall Festival & Resource Fair

The Midland Health Department and Familia Dental are putting on the Fall Festival & Resource Fair at Dennis the Menace Park. Entry is free. They are hosting a coloring contest, candy giveaway, community health resource info, and fun family activities. 

St. John’s Kooky Karnival

This annual festival, St. John’s Kooky Karnival, benefits St. John’s students. There is a huge variety of activities, booths, candy and sweets giveaways, games, and costume contests. Worth the drive to Odessa!

Halloweenfest

Open to all ages, the Midland Parks and Recreation Division presents the Halloweenfest at MLK Jr. Park. Of course, candy will be present as well as games and activities for the kids. It’s free entry for all community members.

Peeps n Creeps

A to Z Veternariarian Clinic’s annual Peeps n Creeps Trunk or Treat event is a fun, kid-friendly spooky time. Named after the exotic and wildlife rescues, this organization hosts annual open house days where families can visit the creepy crawlies (and furred friends) at the clinic. The Tunk or Treat in October offers a haunted barn and encourages costumes.

There are countless fall festivals, trunk-o-treat events, costume contests, and Halloween celebrations throughout the month of October in Tall City and surrounding areas.
