Midland definitely has no shortage of parks and recreation around town. You might assume we’re recommending the waterpark at Washington Park. While it’s a great summer solution for the hot Midland summer, for sports purposes, Washington Park has a great basketball court. Perfect for spring mornings and summer evenings, the park is one of Midland’s best options for getting your B-Ball on.

Beal Park

This giant Midland park is home to a dog park, disc golf, a skate park, soccer and baseball fields, and even a duck pond. With something for everyone, this is your one-stop for entertaining everyone when it comes to sports. The best part might be that you can bring the pup along for the fun of it all. Of course, bring your own ball, skateboard, and dog to get in on the outdoor, park fun.

Fasken Park
Basketball Courts, Picnic Tables, Soccer & Baseball Fields
This giant bowl of a park houses basketball courts, soccer and baseball fields, and even some exercise equipment at the park. The playground has also been renovated in the City’s efforts to bring newer equipment to all of Midland’s parks and playgrounds. You can easily spend the entire day here with everything Fasken Park has to offer.

Martin Luther King Jr. Park

A tall rainbow greets you at the entrance of this park with tons of opportunities for fun waiting on the other side of it. Beyond the rainbow are volleyball courts, basketball courts, picnic tables, as well as playground fixtures. Right next door to the community center, you’re bound to run into someone at the park.

Hogan Park

On top of everything else this park offers, the dog park on-site might be the icing on top of the cake. Centrally located off of one of Midland’s busiest streets, it’s only a short drive to enjoy the amenities of this park’s offerings. Besides the dog park, there’s a long walking trail, a golf course, croquet and a horseshoe setup, a playground, and numerous sports fields for all the organized sports you could ever play.

Bradford Park

How Texan of us to include a horseshoe pit as an offering at some of Midland’s parks but for how entertaining it is on a summer evening, we just had to. Pair that with a picnic of you’re favorite summertime snack and beverages and that’s all you could ever need for a day of entertainment. If you’re not yet convinced of this fun sport, Bradford Park also has a volleyball court, picnic tables, and of course, an awesome playground. A little bit of something for everyone.

While the playground and large field of Cowden Park are impressive and fun, the best part of all of it is the disc golf course within the park itself.
